The Tournament
• The Fresno State Classic will span two days and feature 54 holes of stroke play. A shotgun start format will be used for all three rounds while team scoring will be 5-count-4. Rounds one and two will be held on Monday and all players will be re-grouped before the final round on Tuesday, based on scores. For the purposes of tournament honors and awards, ties will be split per NCAA Championship tie-breaking procedures.

• Joined by student-athletes from 11 visiting schools, the Fresno State women's golf team will host the Fresno State Classic at San Joaquin Country Club, March 13-14, 2017.

• For the third time in tournament history and third consecutive season, the 'Dogs will host their annual event at San Joaquin Country Club. Previous stops have been Copper River Country Club and Riverbend Golf Club.

• The Fresno State Classic enters its 13th year, an annual tradition that began during the programs inaugural 2004-05 season.

• Fresno State holds the event's most wins, at five, which includes three-straight titles. UC Irvine and UC Davis are tied for second with two team wins each – UC Irvine will be in the 2017 field seeking its third.

• The Bulldogs are three-time defending champions of its home-hosted tournament, winning its spring and fall editions in 2014 as well as the next in March 2016. Overall, the 'Dogs are five-time champions of the Fresno State Classic (2005, 2007, 2014-spring, 2014-fall, and 2016).

• The last Bulldogs to win the Fresno State Classic was Madchen Ly in the fall of 2014. Santa Clara's Annie Freeman, who is anticipated at the 2017 edition, was the 2016 Fresno State Classic medalist. She edged out Fresno State then-junior Gudrun Bjorgvinsdottir by three strokes for the win.

The Field
• The 12-team field is comprised of host Fresno State, Arkansas-Little Rock, Boston University, Cal Poly, Cincinnati, CSU Bakersfield, CSU Fullerton, Nevada, Sacramento State, Santa Clara, UC Irvine and UC Riverside.

The Course
• The par-72 course will play at 6,119 yards from the Red Tees.

• A jewel located on the banks of the San Joaquin River known for its fair, but tough test of the game of golf, San Joaquin Country Club (located on the west side of Fresno, Calif.) will serve as the host site of this year's Fresno State Classic.
Â
• Under the direction of Golf Course Architect, Robert Baldock, construction of San Joaquin Country Clun began in July of 1960, and the first drive off the first tee of the 7,300 yard Championship Course took place in May 1961. Ground was broken for the Clubhouse in March 1962, which was opened to membership in January 1963.
