Bulldog Vollebyall Collects First WAC Win

Fresno, Calif. - Playing in the second half of the season, Fresno State turned it up a notch and was working on all its cylinders Friday night in the North Gym.
The Bulldogs picked up a 15-4, 15-10, 4-15, 15-3 conference victory over the Rice Owls. With its second win at home, Fresno State hit a season-best .377 (65-16-130) and three 'Dogs had double-digits in kills.
Senior outside hitter Anamie Buckelew posted a match-high 19 kills and added nine digs while hitting .400 (19-5-35) on the evening. Sophomore middle blocker Shauna McQuaid added 16 kills and netted four total blocks after hitting .538 (16-2-26). Sophomore outside hitter Kristin Pierpont posted a career-high 14 kills and collected eight digs.
Fresno State hosts Tulsa tomorrow night in another 7:00 pm WAC match up in the North Gym.
