Bulldog Volleyball Nets Wins Over Tulsa

Tulsa - For the 11th straight time senior outside hitter Anamie Buckelew was the Bulldogs' top killer. Hitting .512 in the match (24-2-43), Buckelew propelled the 'Dogs to a 15-3, 10-15, 15-5 and 15-5 WAC road win over Tulsa on Thursday evening. Notching her 11th double-double on the year and her seventh career 20-kill match, Buckelew posted match highs in kills (24) and digs (17) as the Bulldogs improved to 13-11 overall and 7-4 in the WAC. Senior middle blocker Adrienne Sankey chipped in 16 kills and added three total blocks. Sophomore middle blocker Shauna McQuaid recorded 12 kills and had a career-high nine total blocks against the Golden Hurricane. Four Bulldogs had 10 or more digs in the win in senior setter Diann Aufdermaur (16), Buckelew (17), sophomore outside hitter Kristin Pierpont (12) and junior outside hitter Malie Malu (16).
