Bulldog Volleyball Reels In WAC Win Over Rice

Houston - Six Bulldogs had double-figures in digs. Five Bulldogs had double-figures in kills. Four Bulldogs had double-doubles. And three Bulldogs collected career high marks in the 15-6, 19-17, 11-15 and 15-9 road WAC win over Rice Saturday evening. Fresno State, which hit .262 with 97 digs and 13 total blocks, was led by Anamie Buckelew's match-high 28 kills. However, Adrienne Sankey stole the show with her first career 20/20 performance after posting career high marks in kills (24) and digs (22) while adding five blocks. Diann Aufdermaur dished out a career-high 80 assists with 11 digs and three blocks. Leilua Satele had a personal-best 18 digs in the victory. In addition, Shauna McQuaid had eight total blocks with 12 kills. Fresno State will close out WAC play at home with SMU on Nov. 18 and TCU on Nov. 19. Both matches will begin at 7:00 pm in the North Gym. Fresno State will honor its seniors on Nov. 19.
