"It feels nice anytime we get a win, even in an exhibition game. The team battled hard and it's nice to see that our effort was rewarded."

"One thing that helped us was when we got into transition and got numbers in our favor. We usually do well when that happens. We also got some steals as the game progressed, and those helped us set something up."

"I made the change to a man-to-man defense in the final minutes because I felt confident they would try to isolate No. 8 [Gabriela Gonzales]. I thought we would be able to guard her if we did that, and it turned out that we did. That was one of the keys to our run down the stretch."
