Women's Basketball Falls to Boise State

FRESNO, Calif. - In the first game of the Fresno State Classic, Boise State topped the Fresno State Bulldogs 77-62 at the North Gym. The Bulldogs record falls to 1-2 on the year. The Broncos improve to 3-0.
Boise State forward Stephanie Block led all scorers with 25 points. She was virtually unstoppable in the paint connecting on 9 of 16 shot attempts. She was also a solid 7 of 9 from the free throw line. Lindsay Logan led the Bulldogs with 12 points, 10 assists and six steals. Off the bench, freshman forward Omelogo Udeze had 10 points and five rebounds in 19 minutes.
The Broncos led by seven at halftime, but Fresno State continued to hang around in the second half. With five minutes remaining in regulation, Udeze capped a 9-2 run with a layup in traffic, making the score 59-54. However, Boise State increased its lead to 10 with just over a minute to go on Barrios' two free throws.
Fresno State was out-rebounded 38-32 in the game. Boise State shot 50 percent from the Field compared to 39 percent for the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs play Boston University Sat. evening in the North Gym at 7 p.m.
