FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - Brian Heinle scored 27 points to lead CS Northridge to a 69-66 upset of Fresno St. on Tuesday night.
CS Northridge (2-1) led by as many as 18 points midway through the second half before having to hold off a late Fresno St. charge.
Terrance Roberson led Fresno St. (3-3) with 26 points, 21 of those in the second half.
The Bulldogs, playing their fourth game in five days, were still without guard Courtney Alexander, last year's leading scorer. Alexander has missed all six games with a stress fracture in his foot. He is expected to return Saturday night against N. Arizona.

Heinle scored 12 points in the first 10 minutes of the second half as CS Northridge opened up a 52-34 lead. But Roberson got hot, hitting four three-pointers over the next eight minutes to help the Bulldogs cut the lead to 59-57 with 1:40 left in the game.
Heinle and Hewitt Rolle each scored to give Northridge a 5-point lead with 0:49 seconds left in the game. Fresno St. was unable to get closer than three points the rest of the way.
