Cheyne, Djilianova Begin Play at Rolex Individual Indoors

Fresno, Calif. - Junior Rob Cheyne (Wellington, New Zealand) and senior Dora Djilianova (Plovdiv, Bulgaria) will begin play tomorrow in the Rolex National Individual Indoor Championships at the Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas, Texas.
The 60th-ranked Cheyne, a member of the Fresno State mens tennis team, will play his first round match against 30th-ranked Shoun Madden of Texas A&M at 8:30 a.m. CST. Cheyne earned the right to participate in the tournament after finishing second in the Region VII tournament last November. This is Cheyne's first trip to the Indoor Championships.
Djilianova, ranked 17th, will be making her second appearance in the tournament and will begin play against 5th-ranked Julie Ditty of Vanderbilt at 11 a.m. Djilianova, who made the team as an alternate, defeated Ditty, 6-0, 4-6, 6-1, in the second round of the 1998 T. Rowe Price National Clay Court Championships last fall.
