Gravatt Falls Short of Finals

Fresno, Calif. - Senior Holly Gravatt (Valinda, Calif./West Covina HS) failed to advance to the finals of the 100 breast competition at the NCAA Championships today in Athens, Georgia. Gravatt will compete in the 200 breast tomorrow.

Gravatt swam splits of :30.60 and :33.20 for a time of 1:03.80 in the event trials. NCAA and American record holder Kristy Kowal of Georgia had the top preliminary time of 1:00.51. The top eight finishers in the preliminary rounds advance to tonights final.
