The Trojans ranked players are: Singles - Dita Huber (13), Kara Warkentin(t-48), Jacqui Boyd (t-83). Doubles - Warkentin/Huber (30).
38th-Ranked Bulldogs Lose Dual Opener
Fresno State was unsuccessful in winning their first ever dual match against fourth-ranked California last week. The Bulldogs fell to the Golden Bears, 8-1, dropping five-of-six singles and all three doubles matches. The highlight of the match was a victory by senior Dora Djilianova (Plovdiv, Bulgaria), ranked 17th, over 31st-ranked Anita Kurimay of California, 6-4, 6-2, at No. 1 singles. Djilianova pushed her overall record to 14-4 this season.
Djilianova Reaches Career Milestone
With a singles win last week over Anita Kurimay of California, 6-4, 6-2, Dora Djilianova became the first Fresno State womens tennis player to reach the 100-win plateau. In her four seasons with the Bulldogs, Djilianova has compiled a 100-34 record in singles and became the all-time winningest player last season when she won her 75th match against Manon Buskens of Boise State on March 3, 1998.
