Tennis: Djilianova Advances at Rolex Indoor Championships

Dallas, Texas - Senior Dora Djilianova (Plovdiv, Bulgaria), ranked 17th, advanced to the second round of the Rolex Intercollegiate Indoor Championships today at the Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas, Texas.
Djilianova, a member of the Fresno State womens tennis team, advanced to the second round with a 7-5, 1-6, 6-2, upset of 7th-ranked Julie Ditty of Vanderbilt. Djilaiinova also defeated Ditty at last Septembers T. Rowe Price National Clay Court Championships.
In tomorrows second round action, Djilianova will face 31st-ranked Anita Kurimay of California, who she defeated, 6-4, 6-2, in a dual match last week.
In mens action, Fresno State junior Rob Cheyne (Wellington, New Zealand), ranked 60th, lost his first round match to 30th-ranked Shoun Madden of Texas A&M, 6-3, 6-4, and will play in the consolation draw tomorrow morning.
