Tennis: Djilianova Defeated in Third Round of Rolex Indoors

Dallas, Texas - Senior Dora Djilianova (Plovdiv, Bulgaria) was defeated in the quarterfinal round of the 1999 Rolex National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships today at the Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas, Texas.
The 17th-ranked Djilianova was defeated by top-ranked Zuzana Lesenarova of the University of San Diego, 6-1, 6-1, in the quarterfinal round. Djilianova is now 0-2 against Lesenarova this year, as she was defeated 6-3, 7-6, at the National Clay Courts last September.
To reach the quarterfinals, Djilianova defeated 31st-ranked Anita Kurimay of California, 5-7, 7-6, 7-6, earlier in the day.
In the men's consolation bracket, 60th-ranked junior Rob Cheyne (Wellington, New Zealand) was eliminated from the tournament by 6th-ranked Esteban Carril of TCU, 7-5, 6-4.
In addition, the Fresno State women's tennis team will host 19th-ranked South Alabama on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 2 p.m.
