Game Notes
--- The victory runs Fresno State's all-time record against TCU to 4-1, including a perfect 4-0 in Fresno. Two of those victories came in the North Gym and two in the South Gym.
--- Lindsay Logan had one of the biggest games in Fresno State history. She scored 33 points, a record for a Fresno State freshman and the most scored by a Bulldog this year. Logan also added six assists and four rebounds.
--- Logan's 33 points were the most scored by a player from the Western Athletic Conference this season.
--- Logan also played the full 40 minutes and has gone the distance in Fresno State's last three games. All told, Logan has not left a game in the last 130 minutes.
--- Four Bulldogs scored in double figures, the fourth time this year that has happened. FS is 2-2 when four players score 10 or more points.
--- Laura Garcia sprained her ankle in practice on Monday and did not play in tonight's game, leaving Fresno State with only seven players for the ninth time this season. The Bulldogs are 6-3 in those games.
--- The Bulldogs committed 18 turnovers, the first time in the last four games they have finished with less than 20.
--- Six of FS's eight wins have come in the North Gym.
--- The 83 points scored was tied for the most scored in a game this year. The Bulldogs also scored 83 in a victory over Boston University on Nov. 27.
--- For the first time this season, Fresno State won a game when its opponent scored more than 65 points. The Bulldogs are now 1-8 when their opponent scores more than 65 points and 7-0 when they score less than 65.
Britt King quotes
On not having starting guard Laura Garcia available
"One of the things we talk about is that everybody has to pick up and bring a little extra to the table since we only have seven or eight players and today since we didn?t have Laura there of course we had to pick up her assists, her points, everybody had to really step up and pick up everything that Laura normally carries for us. As far as production we didn?t miss much tonight."
On coming in with a three-game losing streak
"We had an opportunity to come back to the North Gym and this was a great opportunity and we just took advantage of it."
On the defensive strategy
"We tried to stay in a zone most of the game, but probably in the last four minutes of the game we had to go to a man after they hit those three point shots. They were basically better than us in the post area so if we had to give something up we were going to give up a two instead of a three."
About TCU's run towards the end of the game
I think that it was a matter of confidence, when they cut it to four everybody started playing with confidence. When we went into a full court press we threw them off. We went back to a half court press for awhile but when the game was on the line we just went back to our strength and our strength is pressing."\
