DALLAS (AP) - Willie Davis had 26 points and 15 rebounds and Jeryl Sasser 26 points, leading Southern Methodist past Fresno State 85-78 Saturday night.
SMU (16-3, 4-1 Western Athletic) has won five of its last six games and 11 in a row at home, marking the Mustangs longest' home-win streak since winning 13 in a row at Moody Coliseum during the 1988-89 season.
Courtney Alexander led Fresno State (12-7, 2-1) with 26 points. Melvin Ely added 21 points. Larry Abney had 15 points and 10 rebounds.
The Mustangs doubled Fresno State kn rebounds, 58-29, their 33 offensive rebounds were four more than Fresno State had overall.
Fresno State hit 52 percent of its shots, but took 21 fewer shots than the Mustangs. SMU had 31 3-point attempts -- 11 more than Fresno State -- but hit just 7. The Bulldogs made 5 of 20 3-pointers.
Davis hit 10 of 23 shots, but was just 1-for-8 from 3-point range. Of his 15 rebounds, 10 were offensive.
Sasser was 9-for-25 from the field, but grabbed 8 rebounds and had 4 assists.
Jon Forinash had 14 rebounds for SMU, including 7 on the offensive end.
