GAME NOTES
--- The win by Rice gives it a 5-2 lead in the all-time series and is its fourth in a row over Fresno State.
--- For the first time this season, Amanda Baker did not start in a game. That leaves Lindsay Logan as the only Bulldog to have started in all 18 games this year.
--- Laura Garcia went 2 of 2 from the free throw line in the game and has now made 13 consecutive free throws over her last three games. She hasn't missed since going 0 of 2 against Cal Poly on Jan. 11.
--- While Rice shot well in the first half, hitting on 52 percent (15 of 29) of its shots, the Bulldogs were red hot, shooting 64 percent (14 of 22). Tiffany Lewis led FS at the intermission with 10 points on 5 of 9 shooting.
--- Lindsay Logan played the full 20 minutes for the fifth consecutive game and the seventh overall. She has now played in 190 consecutive minutes. Logan has not come out of a game since Jan. 8 against Saint Mary's.
--- The game was remarkable in how few fouls there were. The Bulldogs committed only nine on the night and shot only four free throws. Rice had only eight fouls and shot only three free throws.
--- FS was able to hold Rice's leading scorer, Marla Brumfield, to only three points. Unfortunately, Jenny Cafferty, who came in averaging 8.1 ppg, hit seven three-pointers, a new Rice record, and scored 21 to lead both teams.
--- Tiffany Lewis had one of her more productive nights offensively of the season, scoring 19 points, grabbing five rebounds, dishing out four assists and making three steals.
--- Fresno State grabbed only 26 rebounds in the game, 10 below its average. Rice wasn't much more dominating on the glass, however. The Owls had just 23 boards, 16 below their average.
--- The Bulldogs were looking for their first ever victory in the state of Texas. FS is now 0-12 in the Lone Star State, including 0-3 at Rice. Fresno State will have two more chances - at TCU and at SMU - to notch its first victory ever in Texas on Feb. 17 and 19.
