LOGAN, Utah (AP) - Troy Rolle scored 20 points to lead Utah State to an 83-66 victory over Fresno State Tuesday night.
Tony Brown and Shawn Daniels scored 17 points and Bernard Rock added 15 for the Aggies (9-4).
The Bulldogs (9-6) were led Terrance Roberson with 22 points on 6-of-12 shooting from 3-point range. Courtney Alexander added 14 points, 10 below his team-leading average.
A 7-2 run at the beginning of the second half, with Rock scoring five of the points, gave Utah State a 54-42 lead and the Aggies maintained a lead of 10 or more most of the half.
The closest FSU came was 61-57 on a Melvin Ely layin at the 12:49 mark.
The Bulldogs had eight turnovers in the second half to two by the Aggies.
The win was the first in 22 meetings that USU has beaten a team coached by Jerry Tarkanian.
The loss snapped a five-game winning streak for the Bulldogs.
USU led all but seven seconds of the first half on 19-of-34 shooting while Fresno State stayed close on 3-point shots. The Bulldogs were 5-for-13 from 3-point range in the first half, with Alexanders and Roberson each hitting two. USU led 45-40 at the half.
There were few foul calls in the game and FSU was just 2-of-6 from the line while USU was 9-for-17.
