Equestrian Wins High Point Honors at Reedley

Fresno State took Hi point and Reserve Hi point honors on Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association show held at Reedley College.
Fresno State was the Hi point team for the morning show and Reserve Hi point for the afternoon show. Overall Hi point Rider and Reserve Hi point rider honors went to juniors Kendra McQueen with 14 pts and Janine Hunt with 8 points.
In the morning show, junior Stacy Steinhoff took second place in Open Reining and sophomore Jackie Myers took first in the Advanced I class. In the Intermediate II class, seniors Kalli Bowles and Heather Hogancamp took first and second respectively. In the afternoon, Kendra Mcqueen took first in the Open Reining Category and Open Rail category. Junior Janine Hunt took third in the Open Reining category and first in the Open Rail. Junior Rena Miller took fourth in the Open Reining category. Junior Rena Miller placed second in the Open Rail and fourth inthe Open Reining. Junior Kate Hartman placed first in the section B group of the Interdediate II, freshman Katie Wagner finished second and Senior Heather Hogancamp finished second in the section A group. Kallie Bowles and Hather Hogancamp both qualified for the Regional Finals, having carried over points from last season.
The 'Dogs return home on Sunday, Oct. 15, for their first Intercollegiate Dressage show. The will then be on the road to San Luis Obispo to compete in the Cal Poly IHSA-Double Western show on Oct. 27-29.
