FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - Chris Jefferies scored 24 points and Tito Maddox added 17 to lead Fresno State to a 80-61 non-conference rout of Georgia Saturday night.
Fresno State (9-2) won its third-straight game with Maddox in the lineup. Maddox missed the first eight games of the season because of an NCAA suspension.
Georgia (6-6) was led by Shon Coleman with 13 points while Anthony Evans added 12 and D.A. Layne scored 10. Georgia has now lost three-straight, all by 18 or more points.
Georgia cut the lead to one twice in the first half but never could take the lead. Fresno State led Georgia at halftime, 36-27. Georgia trimmed Fresno s lead to 42-35 with just over 15 minutes left in the game but Porter hit a three-pointer to start a 17-1 Fresno State run over the next four minutes.
