Fresno State vs. Hawai'i
Feb. 5, 2000
North Gym - Fresno, Calif.
GAME NOTES
--- The loss was Fresno State's ninth in a row to Hawai'i. The Rainbow Wahine now lead the all-time series 17-6. FS hasn't beaten Hawai'i since the 1990-91 season.
--- The Bulldogs four-point loss was the closest game against Hawai'i since the 1996-97 season, when FS lost to UH 61-60 in overtime at the North Gym.
--- Lindsay Logan had eight assists on the night and moved into ninth place on Fresno State's single-season assist list. The freshman has racked up 140 assists this year and needs to average just under four assists per game the remainder of the season to break the single-season record. She is the only freshman to rank among the top 10 in single-season assists.
--- The 44 points scored by the Bulldogs is the least amount of points they have scored in a game since they lost to Tulsa 51-38 on Jan. 14, 1998.
--- Fresno State led Hawai'i by seven points with 7 minutes 50 seconds remaining but scored only three points the remainder of the contest. FS was 0 of 10 over the game's final six minutes. Despite that, the Bulldogs trailed by only three with one minute left. But a jumpers by Tiffany Lewis and Lindsay Logan were off the mark and the Rainbow Wahine escaped with a victory.
--- The game marked the first time this season Fresno State has lost a game in which it held its opponent to 65 points or less.
--- Tiffany Simon received a start for the fourth consecutive game and eighth overall. She scored seven points and had three rebounds.
--- Fresno State was able to hold the 1998-99 WAC Pacific Division Player of the Year and the current WAC leader in scoring average Raylene Howard to only 10 points. The Bulldogs' defense also hounded Howard the entire game and forced her into 10 turnovers.
