Golf Finishes in Sixth Place in CSU Stanislaus Tournament

FRESNO, Calif. - The Bulldogs finished in sixth place with a three-round team score of 317-305-305--927 at the CSU George Buzzini Stanislaus Invitational, a JV opportunity tournament for Fresno State. The tournament, played at the Turlock Country Club, a par-72 course, was won by the host school CSU Stanislaus by eight strokes over Western Washington with a score of 889. Western Washington earned a score of 897.
Dan Matthews from CSU Stanislaus won the individual play with a three-round score of 71-73-73--217.
The Bulldogs earned two top-20 finishes, one by Bulldog senior Mike Louden who lead the pack for Fresno State with a tie for seventh place and a score of 79-74-72--225. Senior Brandon Lamonica was close behind with a score of 76-77-76--229 tying for 15th.
Junior Shaun Trimble took a three-round score of 83-76-78--237 finishing in a tie for 44th and teammate junior Wes Lovell earned a score of 79-78-82--239 tying him for 54th. Sophomore Mike Kim earned a score of 84-78-79--241 finishing in a tie for 63rd.
