Sept. 1, 2000 FAIRFAX, Va. - Fresno State opened its 2000 volleyball season with a 3-1 road victory over Siena in Fairfax, Va., on Friday, Sept. 1. The Bulldogs took a 15-4, 15-9, 13-15 and 15-5 win from the Patriots after posting more kills (50-28), aces (11-7), digs (41-31) and blocks (10-4) while hitting .232 to Siena's -.028. In the match, sophomore outside hitter Christy Burnett collected a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs while adding two blocks. Junior middle blocker Shauna McQuaid notched a match-high 13 kills while netting a career-best six total blocks. It was Burnett's fourth and McQuaid's 11th career double-figure kill match. Senior outside hitter/setter Malia Malu added 11 digs for her 31st career
