FRESNO, Calif. - The Bulldogs continued to burn up the pool by defeating Cal Poly 165-85 in their first home meet in over a month. The win brings the `Dogs up to a 9-1 dual meet record for the season.
The meet went fast, lasting barely an hour and a half, but not fast enough for the Mustangs. Cal Poly took first place in only one event and had only two other top three finishes.
Setting the pace for the day was the Fresno State 200 medley relay team of Summir Case, Greer McGettrick, Laurel Frisinger and Jesie Lewis, that took first place (1:51.60) in the day's first event. The team of Julian Hill, Heidi Olsen, Kristi Collins and Chandra Riberich, would also walk away with the second place in the 200 medley relay.
First place finishes were also claimed by Jennifer Brown (150 freestyle, 150 breast, 300 free), Greer McGettrick (50 breast), Laurel Frisinger (50 fly), Temple Cowden (150 fly, 100 free), Summir Case (50 free), Nicole Recupito (one and three meter dive) and Julian Hill (150 Back, 100 IM).
The Bulldogs will now have to face a tough road trip to Pac-10 school Oregon State on Saturday, Jan. 27. Following the road trip will be the final home meet of the season against San Jose State on Feb. 3, at 1 p.m.
