Men's Cross Country Places Seventh in Opener

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State men's cross country team took seventh place with 208 points at the UC Irvine-Asics Cross Country Invitational in Irvine, Calif., on Saturday.
Northern Arizona won the 16-team invitational with 33 points, followed by Arizona State (46) and Cal Poly (58).
The Bulldog's top three finishers in the 8K were juniors Roosevelt Cook (Oakhills, Calif.), Roberto Vaca (Sanger, Calif.) and Alex Mason(Alameda, Calif.).
Cook finished first for the 'Dogs and 25th overall with a time of 26:52.2. Vaca came in second on the team, 37th overall, with a time of 27:18.8. Mason followed close behind, taking 43rd with a time of 27:31.7.
