Men's Basketball Stunned By Louisiana Tech 71-64

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - Gerrod Henderson's scored 20 points as Louisiana Tech snapped Fresno State's 25-game home winning streak with a 71-64 victory Saturday in Western Athletic Conference play.
Henderson led four players in double figures for Louisiana Tech, which improved to 12-6 overall and 6-3 in conference. Antonio Meeking added 14 points, while Marco Cole had 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Fresno State (14-7, 6-3) fell into a fourth-place tie alongside Louisiana Tech in the WAC race despite a game-high 24 points from Melvin Ely.
Trailing throughout the game, Fresno State crept to within 66-64 with 57.6 seconds remaining on a free throw by Chris Sandy. But after Sandy missed an open layup on the ensuing possession, Louisiana Tech hit 3 of 4 free throws down the stretch.
The Bulldogs' home winning streak was the fourth-longest in the country. Fresno State shot 30.4 percent (17 of 56) for the game and finished just 3 of 22 from beyond the three-point arc.
Louisiana Tech, which never trailed in the game, led by as many as 12 points with 10:58 remaining in the game following Michael Wilder's second three-pointer in a 10-1 scoring run.
Fresno State shot 29.6 percent shooting (8 of 27) in the first half as Louisiana Tech opened 32-25 halftime lead. Cole led all scorers with 12 points.
It was Louisiana Tech's first visit to Selland Arena since 1989.
