Softball Meet the Team Activites Set

FRESNO, Calif. - The 2003 softball season is just right around the corner and the Fresno State softball team will be gearing up for the upcoming season early in the first month of the New Year.
With preseason pratice getting underway on January 6, 2003, plenty of "Meet the Team" activities are already slated.
On Thursday, January 23, the 2003 squad will make their annual half time appearance at the Fresno State men's basketball game. The Bulldogs will play Hawai'i at 7:00 p.m. at Selland Arena.
On Saturday, January 25, fans will be able to get posters, schedule cards and autographs from the '03 Bulldogs during "Meet the Team" at Sierra Vista Mall, 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The next day, the 15th Annual Meet the Team dinner and silent auction will take place at 12:00 p.m. at Tor'Ninos. Tickets will be available for purchase after the first of the year. In addition, donations of items for the silent auction is already at hand. Sports memorabilia, sports clothing, travel packages, arts and crafts, and photographs are popular items. Season tickets and seat options for the upcoming year will be available for purchase next month by phoning the Bulldog Ticket Office (559.278-3647) or going on-line at www.gobulldogs.com.
Fresno State softball opens its 2003 season on the road at the Fiesta Bowl Tournament in Tempe, Ariz., Feb. 7-9.
The Bulldogs will meet Nebraska (1:30 p.m.) and Wisconsin (5:30 p.m.) on Feb. 7, Texas A&M (3:30 p.m.) and Texas (5:30 p.m.) on Feb. 8 and Iowa State (8:00 a.m.) on Feb. 9.
