Jantz Falls in ITA Regional Consolation Bracket

FRESNO, Calif. - Courtney Jantz was the last Fresno State women's tennis player to be eliminated in the ITA Northwest Regionals, played this weekend at Stanford. Jantz lost to Lorena Arias of Washington State 6-2, 6-4 in the consolation quarterfinals.
Nevertheless, the tournament was successful for Jantz, who is beginning to find the form she displayed during the 2000-01 season, in which she went 22-12 in singles and 20-12 in doubles.
Last year, in the season opener against Cal Poly on Jan. 25, Jantz tore her ACL, an injury that forced her to miss the rest of the campaign.
Selected Bulldogs will return to the court for the National Individual Indoors on Nov. 6-9.
