FRESNO, Calif. - Reeling from three consecutive home losses, the last two coming in heartbreaking fashion, Fresno State looks to get back on the winning track tonight aganst Washington State. The Bulldogs are 2-5 following Friday's 65-62 home loss to USC while the resurgent Cougars are 6-2 and have won four in a row, including Saturday's 62-55 victory over Idaho. Tonight is the first time WSU has visited Fresno since 1993.
Washington State is the third of three Pacific-10 Conference schools Fresno State plays this season. The Bulldogs opened the 2003-04 campaign with an 80-67 loss at Oregon. Then on Friday, Fresno State dropped a 65-62 decision to USC at the Save Mart Center. The Bulldogs are 25-47 all-time against Pac-10 foes, including losses in the last four. Fresno State's last victory over a school from the Pac-10 was against USC in 2001.
