FRESNO, Calif. (AP)--Nikki Blue and Noelle Quinn each scored more than 20 points for No. 18 UCLA as the Bruins pulled away for a 92-76 win on Saturday.Blue's 22 points and Quinn's 21 points and game-high 12 rebounds helped UCLA (6-1) give the Bulldogs (6-1) their first loss of the season in front of 6,785 fans at the Save Mart Center.
Fresno State's Mirenda Swearengin led all scorers with 23 points, including 15 in the first half. Swearengin was 9 of 20 shooting after making 6 of 10 in the first half. She had five 3-pointers.
UCLA came back from an early 17-10 deficit to take a 39-38 lead at halftime--the first time the Bulldogs have trailed at the half this season.
The Bruins opened the second half with a 16-3 run to take a 55-41 lead.
Some sharp shooting did the trick as UCLA shot 58.1 percent (18 of 31) in the second half. The Bruins shot 37 percent in the first half.
Four Bruins scored in double figures, with Lisa Willis adding 18 points and Amanda Livingston chipping in 13.
The Bruins' 92 points scored and 76 points allowed are both season- highs.
Fresno State next plays at Manhattan College on Friday, Dec. 17 at 4 p.m. PST.
