Equestrian Finishes Fourth at California Classic

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State finished its annual California Classic in fourth place March 13 at the Student Horse Center on campus. Texas A&M captured the championship title and Georgia was reserve champion.
The fourth-place Bulldogs lost their undefeated title in the Western division, falling to top-finisher Oklahoma State and reserve champion Texas A&M. Individually, senior Laine Hendricks finished first in Open Rail, junior Beth Knapp was second and junior Taylor Mason was third. Hendricks was also second in Reining.
The English team finished fifth, behind Hunt Seat champion Texas A&M and reserve champion Georgia. Senior Michelle Tonello nabbed first in Open Fences. Senior Rachel DeCamp was second in Intermediate Flat and senior Dawn McIntosh finished third in Open Flat.
