ST. CROIX, Virgin Islands - Fresno State is in third place out of a fourteen-team field with 292 points after the first day of play at the St. Croix Collegiate Classic, hosted by Xavier University at the 18-hole Carambola Golf Club (Par 72/6,809 yards). Indiana is in first with 290 points followed by Xavier with 291.
Three out of the five Bulldogs competing in the tournament are in the top 20, with seniors Jeremy Moreno and Chad Spencer tying for fourth with 71 and freshman Dan Buell sharing the 14th spot with 73. Sophomore Mark Modglin shot 77, tying him for 43rd, and junior Ryan Carter is tied for 50th with 78.
