Junior guard Ja'Vance Coleman has been named the Toyota/www.gobulldogs.com student-athlete of the week for Nov. 28. The honor is the first for a men's basketball player this year. Coleman, who helped Fresno State to a 2-0 start, opened the season with two consecutive 20-point games. He matched his career-high with a 27-point performance at Cal Poly to start the season, then responded with 24 points in the Bulldogs' home opening win over Oregon State. Posting his 30th career double figure, Coleman had a game-high 24 points versus the Beavers. Coleman also collected his 14th career 20-point effort and notched his fourth consecutive 20-point game. Coleman is currently leading the WAC in scoring with 25.5 points per game while third in steals (2.50), fourth in 3-point field goal percentage (.357, 5-14) and tied for sixth in assists (3.50 apg).
