Fresno State head coach Pat Hill:
"Obviously this was a good win. The best thing is that it puts us in position to win the WAC and as I've said all along the WAC championship goes through Boise. I'm proud of our effort, intensity and execution. We came out ready to play and no one was looking ahead to the next game."
"We had a great crowd tonight. They were into it. I believe we will have a great crowd Thursday. I would urge our fans to come out early because it's the type of championship game that are very special and memorable. It's on national TV (ESPN) and a chance for us once again to showcase our great community and the Red Wave."
"I'm really proud of Paul (Pinegar). Obviously he has a lot on his mind with the birth of his son on Thursday, but he came out relaxed and performed very, very well. He was on and really controlled the tempo of the game. We gave the game ball to Paul for Paul, Jr. to put in his crib."
"The games don't get any bigger than this one with Boise State. It's what you sign up to play for. It will be a great atmosphere and a lot of fun. We have not had much success against them but that's the past and this a different team and a different year, to the past doesn't mean much to us right now. We have a short week to prepare. We'll enjoy tonight, but starting tomorrow our focus will be on Boise State."
San Jose State head coach Dick Tomey:
"They are a Top 20 team and we are not close. They are a good team in a lot of ways and they whooped us thoroughly. They out coached us and out played us."
"We are woeful in the passing game. The offensive line did some good thins in the running game. We are a work in progress."
"They have a terrific team. We have been in every game in conference until them."
"Coach Hill has put together a great program. It's a mark for us to shoot for."
