| Junior Cortney Sobrero has been named the www.gobulldogs.com student-athlete of the week for Nov. 7. The honor is the second of her career and second this season by a member of the Fresno State soccer team (Angie Larsen was the other recipient). Sobrero's game-winning goal in Fresno State's 1-0 shutout of San Jose State in last weekend's WAC Tournament championship match gave the Bulldogs their first NCAA Tournament bid since 1999 and second overall in school history. Sobrero was one of five Bulldogs named to the WAC All-Tournament team and earlier in the week she was named first-team All-WAC, representing the second time in her career she has been named all-conference. Sobrero is tied with Kortney Lewis for the team lead in goals scored with six and currently ranks first on the club in shots and shots on goal. Also nominated: Robyn Keune (volleyball), Paul Pinegar (football) and Shannon Ragsdale (equestrian).
