Women's Golf Finishes 10th At Spartan Invitational

SALINAS, Calif. - The women's golf team (303-305-304-912) completed the San Jose State Spartan Invitational in 10th place, dropping from a ninth place finish after the close of Tuesday's play. UCLA (298-281-289) claimed the title with 868, followed by Washington (293-287-290) with 870.
California's Sofie Andersson (68-67-71-206) captured the individual title at seven-under.
Junior Meggie Fagundes (76-74-71-221) led the Bulldogs, finishing in a tie for 15th at eight-over. Freshman Laura Luethke (74-73-77-224) finished three strokes behind for a 23rd-place tie at 11-over. Junior Adrianna Chico (78-78-76) improved her third round score to finish in 50th place at 19-over with a 232 total. Yumi Chung (75-80-82-237 at +24) finished in a tie for 57th, while Tiffany Veerkamp (82-80-80) carded a 242 total at 29-over to finish in a tie for 64th.
The Bulldogs return to action March 21-22 when they compete at the Duck Invitational hosted by Oregon.
