| Senior Lexine Lesser has been named the Toyota/gobulldogs.com Athlete of the Week for May 11-17. The honor is the first of Lesser's career and the second for a track and field athlete this year. At last weekend's WAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Lesser established a personal-best mark in the pole vault when she reached 13-1.50 (4.00m) to win gold in the event. Prior to Saturday, Lesser's career-high vault stood at 12-11.75. The victory in the pole vault scored her 10 points and helped lead Fresno State to a third place team finish with 99.50 points. Already an NCAA Regional qualifier this year, Lesser has now advanced to NCAA Regional competition three straight seasons. She owns the top height in the pole vault among Bulldog athletes this year.
