The team was relaxed and focused and after the first inning were able to just play ball. There is always anticipation. We hadn't played Long Beach this year so there is always the unknown. Our freshmen have come through and are not playing like freshmen. The whole team picks each other up. When you get to this point we know a lot about all the other teams. It now comes down to our execution.

I felt really good out there it was exciting to get to the first day of Regionals. The team backed me up and got me the runs I needed to hold them.

I was nervous but more excited. I just went to the plate trying to hit the center of the ball. I had been jammed on my first at bat so I was thinking get the center of the ball and get out in front of it.

I want to credit Fresno State they did a nice job. At this time of year you have to do the little things, for some reason today we looked a little flat, we had an opportunity in the first inning with a couple of runners on but we didn't get it done. Defensively you can't give a team four outs, we gave Fresno State four outs in the third inning we could have been out of that inning still down only 1-0. There's a fine line in this game and you can't make to many mistakes especially at this time of the year. Fresno State did a nice job of hitting the ball up the middle and going with the pitch. Credit Fresno State there a good ball club and with that kind of fan support there tough to beat here. Jaime Southern is an excellent pitcher; she does a great job against everyone she goes against. She kept us off balance.

They are a good hitting team, I was just concentrating on moving the ball in and out and trying to make some good pitches, but they got some good hits. I am ready to do whatever the team needs me to do if I have to go again that is what I will do.
