| Freshman Outfielder Brian Lapin has been named the Toyota/www.gobulldogs.com Athlete of the Week after an outstanding offensive performance during a three-game sweep of Louisiana Tech. A Madera native, Lapin hit .667 (8-for-12) against Louisiana Tech, having multiple hit games in all three games of the series, including coming a single short of the cycle on Sunday. In all, Lapin finished the weekend with six runs scored, two RBIs, three doubles, a triple and a home run, his first of the season. Lapin was also selected as the WAC Player of the Week for this performance. This is the first time Lapin has been named Athlete of the Week, and the second selection for a Bulldog Baseball player this season.
