| Senior Katharina Winterhalter of the women's tennis team has been named the Toyota/gobulldogs.com Athlete of the Week for Sept. 26 Winterhalter, a senior from Heitersheim, Germany, partnered with teammate Lucia Sainz to win the doubles championship of the Bulldog Classic on Sept. 25. The tandem defeated Pacific¹s Natalia Kostenko and Vana Mrazovic 8-0 in a dominating fashion for the victory. Winterhalter also reached the final of the singles draw, but lost to nationally ranked Margarita Kharnaukhova of San Jose State. Winterhalter figures to be one of the top Bulldogs entering the spring season. Last year, she played mostly in the No. 1 slot, compiling an overall dual match record of 16-9 and leading the 'Dogs to their fourth consecutive WAC Championship.
