| Junior Cody Parker has been named the Toyota/gobulldogs.com Athlete of the Week for Jan. 17. He is the first wrestler to win the honor this year. Parker completed a perfect week, compiling a 4-0 record in four dual matches for the Bulldogs. Parker started with making two pins on Wednesday, including one of the No. 17 Andy Patrick of Boise State. Following that, Parker had two wins in the Save Mart Center match on Friday, winning a major decision against San Francisco State before picking up the team's only win against No. 3 Illinois. Also nominated: Mirenda Swearengin (women's basketball).
