| Junior outside hitter Angela Wiggins has been named the Toyota/gobulldogs.com Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 16. The honor is the first for Wiggins and first for the women's volleyball team this season. Wiggins had a great outing last week against two WAC opponents in Utah State and Nevada. Wiggins combined 43 kills on 114 attacks for a hitting percentage of .219. She also had five aces, 23 digs and 13 total blocks. With the help of Wiggins the Bulldogs won their first WAC match against Utah State. Also nominated this week were: Tejesvi Veerepalli (Men's Tennis), Nicole Gutierrez (soccer), Jason Shirley (football), & Zinzi Evans (Women's Cross Country).
