Bulldogs Finish Seventh at TaylorMade Aztec Fall Classic

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State women's golf take seventh place out of 19 teams at the Taylormade Aztec Fall Classic. The Bulldogs shot two rounds of 307-304 - 611 to finish 35-over at the Salt Creek Golf Course in San Diego, Calif.
Denver (279-303 - 582) clinched the title finishing 6-over while BYU (589/+13 took second. UC Irvine carded a 20-over 596 after two rounds to finish in third place.
The individual winner, Stephanie Sherlock, from Denver finished 3-under. She shot a first round of 69 and an even second round to total 141.
Laura Luethke led the Bulldogs in both rounds to tie for eighth place. After shooting an even par the first round she shot a 74 in the second round to total 146/+2. Jennifer Shipley improved in the second round with a 71 to finish with a 148/+4 to tie for 13th place. Tiffany Veerkamp, Taylor Siebert and Hali Coppin, playing as an individual, tied for 67th with a score of 160/+16. Brittany Cooley (164/+20) tied for 86th to round out the Bulldog lineup.
The Bulldogs have concluded their fall season and will compete again when they host the Fresno State Invitational Feb. 26-27.
