| Senior Dwayne Andrews has been named the Toyota/gobulldogs.com Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 3. The honor is the first for Andrews and the second for a football player this season. A linebacker out of Los Angeles, Andrews had an outstanding defensive game this past week against Colorado State. Leading the team in tackles, he had a career-high 13 tackles as well as 4 tackles for loss, which was also a career-best. This is the first time a defensive player from football has been honored in 2006. Previously, Dwayne Wright was honored following his performance against Nevada. Also nominated this week were: Angela Wiggins (Soccer) and Tinesta Rowe (Women's Tennis)
