| Junior Dominic McGuire has been named the Toyota/www.gobulldogs.com Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 19. This is the first honor of the season for McGuire. Junior forward Dominic McGuire is coming off one of his better all-around games in a Bulldog uniform. McGuire nearly had a triple-double with nine points, a career-high 14 rebounds and a career-high seven blocked shots on Saturday against one of the top Mid Major teams in the country in Creighton. In the 69-54 victory over the Bluejays, McGuire also added four assists in 35 minutes of action. McGuire went 2 of 5 from 3-point range and 3 of 7 from the field. The honor is the second of the year for a men's basketball player. Quinton Hosley earned the award last week. Also nominated was Tierre Wilson, Women's Basketball.
