
Fresno State Loses To Arizona, 4-3

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's tennis team was defeated by Arizona 4-3, Saturday at the Wathen Tennis Center. The Bulldogs fell to 4-3, while Arizona improved to 8-0.
The 'Dogs lost the doubles point, won three singles matches and lost the other three. Senior Katharina Winterhalter won in straight sets at No. 1 singles over Stephanie Balzert.
"We had many chances to win the match," said head coach Simon Thibodeau. "Give a lot of credit to Arizona - they came ready to compete. But ultimately, we beat ourselves."
Fresno State returns to action Sunday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m. at the Wathen Tennis Center
