Senior forward Amy Parrish has been named the Toyota/gobulldogs.com student-athlete of the week for Feb. 28. Parrish was also honored as the Xbox Live WAC Player of the Week. In two Fresno State victories last week, Parrish was 15-26 from the field and averaged 23.0 ppg and 8.0 rpg. During a 77-60 rout of San Jose State, Parrish recorded her third double-double of the season with 22 points and 11 rebounds while capitalizing on her chances at the free throw line, making 12-13. In a 65-55 win at Boise State, Parrish led all scorers with 24 points to match a career-high. She made 10-14 from the field (71.4-percent), knocked down two three-pointers and was the only Bulldog to score in double-figures on the afternoon. Parrish currently leads Fresno State in scoring (15.5 ppg) and rebounding (6.6 rpg). Her field goal percentage stands at 49.2-percent and she has posted three double-doubles. Parrish has scored in double-figures 20 times and has led the Bulldogs in scoring on 16 different occasions. Also nominated: Melanie Gloria (women's tennis), Jakub Cech (men's tennis).
