| Junior Andy Underwood has been named the Toyota/gobulldogs.com athlete of the week for Feb. 7. The honor is the first of his career and he is the first Fresno State baseball player to earn the honor this season. Underwood was a key part of a series win against UCLA this past weekend, when the starting pitcher threw eight shutout innings against the Bruins, allowing just three hits and striking out four on the way to a 5-0 win. For the year, Underwood has a team-low 1.89 ERA and an undefeated 1-0 record. Fresno State baseball plays its home opener on Friday, Feb. 10 against Pepperdine at 6:35 p.m.
