| Junior Greg Gifford has been named the Toyota/gobulldogs.com Athlete of the Week for the week of Mar. 6. At the NCAA Western Regionals last weekend, Gifford won the region championship at 184 pounds, winning his semifinal match in a 21-7 major decion before pinning his opponent in the finals to win the tournament. With that win, Gifford earned an automatic bid to represent the Bulldogs in the NCAA Tournament held March 16-18. This is the first time Gifford has won the award this season, and becomes the second wrestler, joining Cody Parker.
