| Senior Jason Anthony has been named the Toyota/www.gobulldogs.com Athlete of the Week for Apr. 18. The honor is the first for a men's golfer this season. Anthony won his first collegiate tournament at last week's Saint Mary's Invitational after shooting rounds of 70-73-75 for a 2-over 218 total. He helped Fresno State to a third-place finish in the 19-team, 100-player field. At the BYU Cougar Classic later in the week, Anthony posted two sub-70 rounds to finish 13th at 7-under. Anthony, who has a 72.8 scoring average, has six top-15 finishes on the season. The men's golf team is preparing for the WAC Championship which is being hosted by Boise State May 1-3. Also nominated: Charles Irie (men's tennis), Lucia Sainz (women's tennis), Ryan Moore (men's track and field), Christina Clark (softball) and Andy Underwood (baseball).
