| Sophomore Noelle Dukes has been named the Toyota/www.gobulldogs.com Athlete of the Week for May 9. The honor is the first for an equetrian rider this year. Dukes placed second in the IHSA National Championship Show in Harrisburg, Penn., over the weekend in Novice English Equestrian. The native of Murrieta, Calif., was competing in her first year in the Bulldog program and her first IHSA National Championship. "We are very proud of Noelle," said head coach Becky Malmo. "She worked very hard this year and improved each week. As a reserve national champion in her first year in the program,, she has a great future ahead of her." Also nominated: Robin Mackin (softball), Steve Susdorf (baseball).
