Fresno, Calif. - With the kickoff of the 2006 Fresno State football season just over 24 hours away, set up crews are in place preparing for Bulldog Boulevard's Red Lot debut. The largest, most exciting pre-game family tailgate experience the Central Valley has ever seen, Bulldog Boulevard will be open to the public from 2-4:30 p.m. prior to Friday's game.
Located in the Red Lot, just east of Bulldog Stadium, Bulldog Boulevard is 42,500 square feet of tailgating fun for fans of all ages. Live music, various food and beverage vendors, inflatable games for children, interactive games, video games on big television screens, and lots of Bulldog football talk will get every fan ready for the big game.
"Our goal is to create America's number one collegiate family fun zone that is alcohol free," said Paul Ladwig, Associate Athletics Director for Broadcasting and External Relations. "We know Bulldog Boulevard will become a destination of choice for the Valley's Red Wave and a great place to start your college football game day experience."
Friday's live entertainment on the Table Mountain stage will feature Thomas Syndrone, a four member band hailing from Fresno. The winner of the 2006 Table Mountain Battle of the Bands contest, Thomas Syndrome musical influences include Pink Floyd, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Miles Davis, Coldplay, and Vertical Horizon.
Admission to Bulldog Boulevard is free and alcohol is not permitted.
